Arlene Newman, President and Founter

Arlene brings insider knowledge of the hiring process and knows firsthand what companies are seeking in successful job candidates. She has a MBA in Human Resources and over 20 years experience spanning several industries including hospitality, entertainment, fashion, and travel.

Arlene now spends her time coaching professionals at all levels, including senior and middle management, young professionals, alumni, and graduating college students on launching new careers.

Arlene's vast career development experience includes creating talent acquisition processes for start-up organizations, recruiting and hiring hundreds of employees, training leaders and decision makers on interview techniques, and partnering with over 60 local and international universities to create over 400 internship opportunities across the globe.

An adjunct professor at Baruch College, teaching Recruiting and Interviewing, and guest lecturer at several universities for alumni groups, Arlene coaches clients on how to find job opportunities, build resumes, define personal brands online and offline, prepare for interviews, and develop networking and salary negotiation skills.

Arlene is President of the Board of Directors for Human Resources Association of New York, also known as NYC SHRM, the nearly 2,000-member chapter of the Society of Human Resources Management. She chaired the Directors' Forum, is a member of the Leadership Continuity Committee and the Staffing Management Group.

Janice Doty, Senior Advisor, Board of Advisors

Janice Doty, an Executive with IBM for many years, has broad experience in sales, marketing, product development, corporate communications, direct marketing, and real estate management. Janice also led the development of the IBM Gallery of Arts and Science in New York City. She left IBM to become Executive Vice President of Harris McCully Associates, a Career Management consulting firm in New York City.

A graduate of Rice University, who has been involved with the Rice community continuously since her graduation, Janice was named to the Rice Board of Trustees and served on the Executive Board of the Association of Alumni.

She worked with the Rice Development Office on their Centennial Fund Raising Campaign, which yielded $1 billion 90 million. Janice also served as Co-Chair of the 5-day Rice Centennial Celebration.

Janice is currently on the Advisory Board of the Rice School of Humanities. She is also active in the leadership of the Tri-State Alumni group, working closely with the Administration Office on the recruitment of students.
